Periodontal Treatment

Our gums and jaws are the foundation for our teeth. Therefore, healthy gums are critical to preserving healthy teeth. Periodontal disease, usually called gum disease, can occur when bacteria and decay inflame or destroy gums and the bone beneath their surface. Gum disease typically begins with gingivitis, or inflammation of the gums. At Advanced Dental Care we can effectively treat gingivitis through both professional cleanings and discussing proper oral hygiene at home, such as regular flossing. However, left untreated, gingivitis can progress to more serious gum conditions, lead to receding gums and can ultimately cause tooth loss.

Our staff at Advanced Dental Care is experienced in dealing with a variety of periodontal diseases. During our comprehensive examination, we will diagnose any gum problems you might have, discuss them with you and recommend a treatment plan to help improve your periodontal health. The earlier we detect and begin treating periodontal disease, the greater the likelihood your natural, winning smile can be restored.

If you are suffering from inflamed, bleeding gums, or a receding gum line, call us today at (920) 892-8466 for help.

Dentures and Partial Dentures

Whether because of gum disease, other health conditions, or injury, sometimes teeth are lost or must be extracted. While our primary goal is always to save your original teeth, at Advanced Dental Care, we are experienced in fitting and crafting partial or full dentures to restore your smile.

As the name implies, partial dentures, sometimes called removable bridges, are sets of one or more false teeth that fit into a patient’s remaining, natural teeth. The false teeth are attached to a gum-colored base and are sometimes connected together with metal wires. Full dentures, on the other hand, are called for when all of a patient’s teeth have been extracted. Like any teeth, dentures require regular cleaning and it remains important to care for your gums properly to ensure a healthy fit.

Regardless of whether you need a full or partial set of dentures, proper fitting at Advanced Dental Care is important to ensure both comfort and a pleasing appearance. After we determine you are a good candidate for dentures, our experienced staff will have a set custom-made for you and work to ensure your new dentures fit properly. We’ll also advise you on how best to adjust to your new teeth, how to clean your dentures, and the importance of taking care of your gums and any remaining natural teeth you have. As you age, we’ll periodically adjust your dentures to ensure that they maintain the best possible fit so that your new teeth are as good as they can be.
